Jacques has worked with Tempranillo for over 25 years in the old world, so he was excited to make a wine unique to Kangaroo Island.  The excellent fruit comes from a vineyard we lease from a good friend near American River.  We hand-pick just a few tonnes each vintage. 

On the nose, it offers black cherries & plums, spice, toasty vanilla oak & mocha overtones. On the palate, there's black fruits, hints of liquorice, tobacco leaf & charcuterie savouriness. The finish holds firm tannins balanced with natural acidity.
